Eldar Power Ísland ehf., ID 500826-1420, Garðabær, Iceland, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Processing is governed by Icelandic Act no. 90/2018 on Data Protection and the Processing of Personal Data, and by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679).

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, organisation and message you enter. If you email us directly, we receive whatever the message contains. We do not ask for anything else, and there is no account to create.

The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track visitors across other websites. Our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running.

We use what you send only to answer you and to carry on the conversation that follows. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and, for job applications, taking steps at your request before a possible contract.

We keep what you send for as long as the conversation needs it, and no longer than is necessary for the purpose it was collected for. Where the law sets a period, for accounting records for example, we follow it. This policy does not commit us to storing anything for a maximum period; write to us at any time and we will delete what we hold.

The website and the contact form are hosted by Netlify, and email is handled by our email provider. Both act as processors on our instructions. Some processing may take place outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing.

You may ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to info@eldarpower.com and we will respond as quickly as we can, within the time limits the law sets.

If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, at personuvernd.is.
